Desert Moondogs Annoucement

Personnel Changes

We are sad to announce Michael Torres has decided to step away from the band. Mike has been with the Moondog's from our inception, and has helped tailor our sound with his lead/rhythm guitar and vocal harmony parts. Unfortunately, Mike has been dealing with pain while performing the past few years, resulting in his decision leave the band.

Hopefully, we can have Mike provide some of his superb vocal harmony's and maybe even some instrumental accompaniment parts on this next album. We have solid memories of touring with Mike doing live shows, setups/tear downs, traveling, eating in restaurants, fun rehearsals, tense rehearsals, hanging, having an IPA, telling stories, laughing and having just a darn good time. You will be missed for sure.

So, with Mike leaving the Desert Moondog's we welcome Russ Jasper to the band. Russ maybe familiar to some of you in the local Tri-Cities circle of musicians as a member of the band Jagernaut's. Russ was in the Seattle area years ago in several rock bands and brings an edgy sound to the Moondog's with his grunge rock and blues influences.

Russ has some big shoes to fill in the coming months as he focuses on recording lead guitar parts for this new album. He will be joining us on stage on our upcoming live shows this year!

Desert Moondogs Are Back In The Recording Studio

We are back in the recording studio working on our 2nd full length album. The focus is on this new album, so our live shows in 2026 will be at a minimum until mid year. Keep checking our schedule as we add some new shows later this year. We are excited for this 2nd album and can't wait to annouce the release date late this spring!

Update....things are moving along on the album as we continue to bring in additional local guest musicians and even some Texas and Canadian friends on vocals. Please be patient as we work on this album .

Desert Moondogs Band

Original Americana Roots Rock

The Desert Moondogs are an Americana roots rock band based out of southeastern Washington state.

Featuring the talented singer/songwriter Kay Miracle, the Desert Moondogs are focused on her vast library of original music as well as introducing new music inspired by the influences of the other band members.

We released our debut album, Horse Heaven Hills in the summer of 2024 and are very excited to share this music in both digital format and on CD.

Currently we are taken our original music to stages and venues in the Pacific Northwest and look forward to sharing the music and meeting everyone along the way.

There are plans to start recording a second album later in 2025 and we have the new music for this project to start.
