Desert Moondogs Are Back In The Recording Studio

We are back in the recording studio working on our 2nd full length album. The focus is on this new album, so our live shows in 2026 will be at a minimum until mid year. Keep checking our schedule as we add some new shows later this year. We are excited for this 2nd album and can't wait to annouce the release date late this spring!

“Horse Heaven Hills”, is the first studio produced recording by the Desert Moondogs, featuring 13 original songs written by singer songwriter Kay Miracle.

This collection of Americana, roots rock originals, capture Kay's life stories in song, and became the heart of the Desert Moondogs unique sound. The recording process of “Horse Heaven Hills”, was a labor of love from start to finish.

The album was recorded and produced by Paul Inserra of the Desert Moondogs. The band is comprised of Kay Miracle (guitar, mandolin, vocals), Paul Inserra (bass, vocals), Buddy Bentz (drums/percussion) and Mike Torres (guitar, vocals).

The band came together with the desire to bring original Americana music to the Pacific Northwest, which led to the release of this creative collaboration. It could not have been completed without the full support of the Desert Moondogs families, friends and fans, who believed in us, and helped make this dream come true.

Desert Moondogs Band

Original Americana Roots Rock

The Desert Moondogs are an Americana roots rock band based out of southeastern Washington state.

Featuring the talented singer/songwriter Kay Miracle, the Desert Moondogs are focused on her vast library of original music as well as introducing new music inspired by the influences of the other band members.

We released our debut album, Horse Heaven Hills in the summer of 2024 and are very excited to share this music in both digital format and on CD.

Currently we are taken our original music to stages and venues in the Pacific Northwest and look forward to sharing the music and meeting everyone along the way.

There are plans to start recording a second album later in 2025 and we have the new music for this project to start.
